Get to know Kirsten
How long have you been working at Savings United and what's your role here?
I have been with the Savings United team since April 2022, first starting out as a Junior Content Manager, now working as a Content Manager. My day-to-day role is to oversee the sourcing of discount codes and deals, alongside writing useful money-saving tips and tricks. Not to mention the added buyers' guides! I work with the wider content team, as well as coupon writers to ensure that the deals we are offering are the best possible.
Would you say you have specialised expertise in a particular area of savings?
I like to think so! I love wearing and playing around with make-up, having self taught since I was 14, so working alongside some of the big name beauty brands is a lot of fun. I can find both myself and customers great deals on a selection of beauty brands, including Savage X Fenty, Molton Brown, NARS and Clinique.
Throughout my time with Savings United, I have worked with hundreds of homeware and furniture brands, giving me inspiration for my own interior design projects! From finding the ideal kitchen appliances for the home with Knees Home & Electrical, to getting the spare room furnished with MattressNextDay, I have thoroughly enjoyed exploring their offerings while providing customers with fantastic ways to save.
What's your favourite saving tip when it comes to online shopping?
I think one of my go-to saving tips for online shopping is keeping your eyes out for flash deals. Sometimes you are able to utilise these savings in conjunction with other methods, meaning that you can maximise on how you are saving. What's more, is this is a money-saving tip that can be applied across a variety of categories, including fashion, beauty, skincare, and more.
