2. Early bookings

3. Opt for cheaper parking or non-flexible bookings

Park and Ride is the cheapest parking method at Purple Parking. Rather than onsite parking garages or greet and meet–where you drive up to the terminal and a driver parks your vehicle for you–park and ride locations are further from the airport. Shuttle services frequently take travellers to and from the airport with travelling times between 5 and 10 minutes.

Non-flexible bookings are another way to keep the cost of airport parking down. This option only makes sense if you are confident that you won’t need to amend or cancel your booking. While you do get better deals, as the name suggests, it is non refundable and cannot be amended.

4. Student and NHS discounts

Parking Options at Purple Parking

Park and Ride

The most economical option are Park and Ride locations. That’s because they are furthest from airports with frequent shuttle transfers that range from 5 to 10 minutes to arrive at your departure terminal. These few minutes can save you big on longer haul holidays if you’re willing to take on the extra inconvenience.

Meet and Greet

On the opposite end of the spectrum, you can choose Meet and Greet parking. Drive directly to the terminal, where a professional driver will meet you. After handing off your vehicle, you can head straight to your gate. This option offers maximum convenience, especially for travellers with a lot of luggage or those in a hurry.

Onsite Parking

The perfect middle ground for those looking to save money but aren’t willing to take on much extra work, Purple Parking also offers onsite parking at select airports. While typically more expensive than Park and Ride, onsite parking eliminates the need for a shuttle and provides direct access to the terminal.
